Introduction

For about 2 years ago I moved in to my apartment with a balcony, I had big dreams - make my home to a green oasis, I was missing my childhood garden and had flowers and other plants all over the place.

Some people thought that I was crazy, "You can't grow tomatoes, sallat, climbing plants or fragrant flowers in a rental building and it's to small!".

Yes you can, I have proved it and my mom also jumped on the train and grown some tomatoes aswell.. She took greenhouse recomended seeds and planted in boxes on her balcony and got beautiful and really tasty small tomatoes, this year I will copy her beacuse my plants who was for pots and small areas was'nt good at all.

Recently I read a magazine called "Trädgårds Landet" (Garden Land in english) were I saw a article about a new trend called "Urban Farming" or as some call it "Guerilla Gardening"..

Some describes it like a trend youngsters performs in suburban, citys and similar small living spaces wich are not suited for a garden, I had never heard about it before, I knew i was'nt alone whit my hobby but not it have become a trend and the reason that it have become a big thing I think is beacuse the big concern about the enviroment, organic products, insecticides and recycling.

I don't fallow the trend correctly beacuse I also grow flowers and plants that's not for eating, thats the explanation to the name of this blog, I don't see it as farming and not as Guerilla (I don't really follow the meaning of it in this case if I'm really honest).

So Urban Gardening was more suitable for what I'm.

I hope many people will find this blog and get inspired or inspire me, help eachother out.

If you have a balcony, a small city garden or what so ever, use it, take pictures of it and show off your garden and your newest plants, even if you are younger then me (22) or a pensioner, every one is welcome.
